As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closure, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

TRAFFIC ALERT: As part of the project’s widening work for I-64 in Hampton, the S. Mallory Street on-ramp to I-64 east will be temporarily closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 and continuing until 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

During the temporary closure, all traffic (including emergency vehicles) should detour to the Settlers Landing Road on-ramp to access I-64 east. Read the traffic alert here.
