William Gillette's confidante and right-hand man is a local hero! Our friends at The East Haddam News recently ran two feature articles about Osaki-san.

The first part of the series, available at this link, is a poignant description of the impact that the attack on Pearl Harbor had on this Japanese immigrant who made America his home.

The second part of the series, available here, described Osaki's life at Gillette Castle and the important role he played for William Gillette.

You need to scroll down a bit to get to the articles after clicking on the link, but they are thoughtful and articulate descriptions of this amazing man who lived on the bank of the Connecticut River.

The East Haddam Stage Company's production of an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's story A Scandal In Bohemia is a regular event on our outdoor stage.

The final shows of the series will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7.

Meet the 2022 Seventh Sister Souvenirs associates

Our souvenir shop associates are the "face of the friends" for thousands of visitors over the course of the summer. Last week, we all got together "face-to-face" for the first time. This dedicated and engaged group has a mission to help visitors enjoy their time and raise money for the Friends.
