Monthly News & Updates

September 18, 2024 | September Newsletter

Dear SAGA friends and alumni,

The SAGA School is at its full back-to-school vibrance and buzz as we welcomed our staff and ~145 preschool-Grade 5 students onto campus. We hope that you all enjoyed sunny summer days at home or in far-flung places, and that the transition to fall, with all that this may mean in your homes and families, is a smooth one.

If you're new to this newsletter, you'll receive it roughly once per month, though if we're sending out other communications specific to various SAGA news or events (especially heading into the holiday season), we may skip this newsletter so as to not overwhelm your inboxes.

We hope you'll join us at a variety of community-oriented celebrations and holiday events throughout the year (read more below). Please do come—we look forward to seeing you!

~ Anjanette Gonzales, Head of School

Special Milestone

We are delighted to celebrate a special milestone in the SAGA family.

Jessica Klein

5 years at SAGA

Jessica was born and raised in Everett, Washington. She holds a BA from the University of Washington, and a Master in Teaching from City University of Seattle, and has extensive experience reaching back to her time as a STEM educator in Bremerton, WA. We are delighted to celebrate Jessica's special milestone in the SAGA family! In her own words...

"I have loved being part of the growth of the SAGA upper elementary program! It's been wonderful to share special occasions with our older students, like the Fourth Grade Fraction Pizza Party and the Washington State History Museum field trip. I've also appreciated unique fifth grade milestones, such as the Warm Beach Camp overnight trip and of course their graduation, as we usher students into the next, more independent phase of their education. I have made some really amazing friends at SAGA over the years and enjoy our shared experiences!"
