God, our healer and refuge, we pray for all who suffer from gun violence. With your mercy, bind up their wounds, restore their bodies, and heal their hearts. Comfort the mourners and embrace the lonely. With your might, empower us to change this broken world. Make us advocates for a stable society, alive with hope in you. We ask this through the one once wounded for our transgressions and now standing in our sorrows, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen (c) 2022 Augsburg Fortress, used by permission under license #SAS006951
The ELCA has long advocated for preventing easy access to assault style weapons and strengthening our federal system of background checks for all gun sales. Several St. Mark's members will convene a discussion in the library this Sunday at 12:15pm around possible actions individuals might consider to encourage legislators to do something to reduce gun violence. All are welcome.

Wonderful Addition to the Church Archives
St. Marks Archives has received a new document to cherish, share, and keep in its file of member "reminiscences." Pastor William Trexler, who served as our interim pastor in 2018 and 2019, has written down many of the delightful stories that he loved to tell of his time as a boy here in the 1950s when his father, Pastor Bernard Trexler was serving here. You can access the full document here.
Now, the Archives Team has a challenge for YOU. We want to hear your stories and memories also. Click here to find questions to help you get started writing or if you prefer, record your thoughts!
Give these to Eileen Cram (eileenacram@gmail.com) or turn them into the church office.
