Aristoi Cypress Weekly Announcements
There is so much going on at school! We can't wait to share it with all of you! Please read below for more information about Parent Orientations, Meet the Teacher events, tips on how to make the first days easier, and more. Cross Country Tryouts are coming up for 5th - 7th grade students. PPE forms must be completed before tryouts. PE uniforms are required this year for 6th & 7th grade Griffins. Cost and availability are included below. Go Griffins!

August 11th
First of School

The Aristoi Cypress school day begins at 8:00 AM. Dismissal is at 3:15 PM.
August 4th - Parent Only Orientation for Kinder, 1st & 3rd grades @ 3:30 PM

August 5th - Parent Only Orientation for 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th grades @ 3:30 PM

August 9th - 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Meet the Teacher @ 3:30 PM

Attention 6th & 7th Grade Griffins!

PE Uniforms are required this year. Uniforms will be available for purchase at Parent Orientation and Meet the Teacher events. Shirts are $16; shorts are $17.50. The total cost is $33.50. Please bring cash or check (make checks out to: Aristoi Booster Club).
REMINDER: Athletics Participation Requirements

Beginning August 1, 2022, Aristoi's new athletic policy includes Pre-Participation Exams. These exams must be completed prior to tryouts, practices, athletic competitions, and more.
August 15th from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM, Cross Country Tryouts @ D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA at Cypress Creek (for 5th - 7th grade students)

Griffins meet at the YMCA @ 4:00 PM ready to run. Please wear PE clothing or Aristoi Spirit Wear if you are able. Tennis shoes and running shorts are appropriate.

Tryouts are at the soccer fields behind the basketball courts. Together, students walk to the trails before tryouts.

Tryouts start promptly. Please bring plenty of water.

NOTE: All students must have a completed PPE form on file with the school before tryouts. Please see the above information.

Before School Care Program

The Aristoi Katy and Cypress campuses begin Before School Care with drop-off Monday-Friday, on or after 6:45 AM. Parents are not permitted to drop their students off prior to 6:45 AM. View the flyer.

Weekly Fee: $30
Registration Fee: $35 per child. Not required if you are enrolled in the After School Program with the YMCA and have already paid a $35 registration fee. Proof of enrollment with the YMCA is required.
From Child Nutrition

Please complete the application for Free or Reduced-Price Meals. Applications must be resubmitted yearly. When completing the form on schoolcafe.com, "Aristoi" is both the District and the School name.

The littlest Griffins need extra help and a little bit of practice at home may be beneficial to students and staff alike!

  • Please practice buckling and unbuckling car seats and getting in and out of your vehicle with your students.

  • Practice "School Lunch" at home. Opening snacks, drinks, cheese sticks, and the like will make lunch a lot more fun and easier for everyone on August 11th!

Community Supply Drop-Off

Please drop off your Community Supplies on the dates listed below from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Please drop off supplies in the gym.

Summer Reading Books available from Katy Budget Books

Aristoi Booster Club (ABC) is partnering with Katy Budget Books to offer K-12th grade summer reading books. Use this link to order your student's books now so they have all summer to complete their reading.

All books are shipped directly to your home.

Authorization to Administer Medication

A new Authorization to Administer Medication Form and/or Action Plan signed and dated by a physician is required at the beginning of every school year. A student requiring an emergency medication (ie EpiPen) for a medical condition is not allowed to attend school until the medication and form have been received and processed by Student Care. Parents may access and print Student Care forms here.

Aristoi's School Board meets monthly at the Upper School - Katy. Meetings are held at 5610 Morton Road, Building C, Room C1.
New Health Information
Please contact Student Care for any important updates or changes in student health information.
Immunization Requirements

Please review school immunization requirements to ensure your child is properly immunized for the 2022- 2023 school year. Note that required immunizations include the 7th grade immunization for Tdap and Meningococcal.

If immunizations are required for your student, you must turn in a copy of your student(s) shot record or a notarized Affidavit for Exemption of Immunizations to Student Care no later than August 11, 2022, the first day of school. Requests for an Exemption of Immunizations can be found here.
Aristoi Cypress Yearbook
