This world premiere play, performing one weekend only, is a magical visit with America's greatest character actress as she spins stories of a life and career where the Wicked Witch is only the beginning!

It's back on the schedule! In March of 2020, on the eve of our very first rehearsal, the pandemic forced us to step back, lock down, and sadly cancel our beautifully cast, ready-to-go world premiere, The Secret Princess.
But now it's back and better than ever! The story goes like this...In the duchy of Klugenstein in 1221, young Duke Conrad has a terrible secret – since birth, he has been disguised as a boy by his scheming mother, even though he – she! – is really a girl. Romantic complications ensue, of course, and the ultimate outcome for Conrad and those he/she loves depends on the audience, who must vote to decide not only Conrad’s fate but also who gets the girl – or guy!
The Secret Princess, based on a Mark Twain short story, is a gender bending medieval romp with a surprise ending – guaranteed!

Snowlion Rep is extremely privileged and honored to be the first company producing shows at the newly renovated theater at Meetinghouse Arts located at 40 Main Street in Freeport.
Aside from being an architecturally stunning building, the theater at Meetinghouse Arts includes a large thrust stage and high ceilings where every seat is a good one. The overall vibe of the complex is that of a new arts venue alive with theater, music, visual arts and the like, all easily accessible right in the center of town, with ample free parking!
