A Message from our President | |
To the Carondelet Community,
As we round out March, we continue to have lots to celebrate. Congratulations to the Carondelet and De La Salle Choir and Band programs who both had wonderful showings at the Anaheim Heritage Festival this past weekend. Chamber Choir earned a silver rating and ranked in 3rd place for their division. Combined Choirs earned a silver rating and ranked in 2nd place for their division. Choir President, Karlie Makhoul ‘23 took home a special "Maestro Award" for her solo in the piece "Oye!" Concert Band and Jazz Band both received a gold performance rating for their incredible performance. Jazz Band placed first and Concert Band placed second in their respective divisions. We are so proud of all of our student performers!
Last week was also a busy week in sports, as we hosted four S.O.S competitions for our Stunt Team, Beach Volleyball, Track and Field, and Swimming. Thank you to all who came out to support our hard-working and talented athletes. We have two upcoming S.O.S competitions this week at the CAC—Monday we will host a Diving meet at 3:30 PM, and Wednesday Lacrosse will play Monte Vista at 5:30 PM for JV and 7:00 PM for Varsity. We hope to see you there!
In Student Activities, DEI Council is sponsoring a lunchtime game activity to celebrate Women’s History month on Wednesday in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation. Company’s “Xanadu” is closing this week, so buy your tickets now if you haven’t gotten a chance to see this wonderful show! This is our final push for our Lenten Project donations. We are collecting household goods for World Relief Sacramento through 5th-period classes. Bring in your items to donate this week!
We hope to see you in the theatre, on the field, or at the pool for some of our upcoming events this week!
In Unifying Love,
Jessica Mix '99
President

(Hey, it's 1980) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.
