The Veritas Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams each captured the WPAC Tournament Championship last week! The Varsity Team beat Reynolds Mtn. on Monday (3-0), Haywood Christian on Thursday (3-0), and Pinnacle Classical Academy (3-0) on Saturday. Congratulations Team! Kaitlyn Miller was named to the All-Conference team, and Maggie Clayton was named All-Conference and Player of the Year! Our girls move on to the CSAA State Tournament, where they will host a match on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The JV Team beat Haywood Christian (2-0) on Monday, Long Shoals Wesleyan (2-0) on Thursday, and Community Chrisitan (2-0) on Saturday. Our JV girls will also compete in the CSAA State Tournament. They host Haywood Christian today at 5:00 p.m. Great job ladies, and best of luck in the state tournament!
Additionally: A big thanks to Dean Clayton and Fro-Yo Lab for their donation of the frozen yogurt machine! It was a big hit. We also would like to thank the many volunteers who helped with the tournament. We could not have done it without you!
Our Boys Varsity Soccer Team competed in the WPAC tournament as well. The Warriors beat Challenger Early College HS 1-0 in the semi-finals, before losing in the championship match to The Master’s Academy 2-3. For Veritas, Caleb Randles and Charlie Brake were named to the All-Conference Team! Veritas will compete in the CSAA State Tournament this week. We will host Jackson Day on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Good luck to our boys!
Tryouts for our Middle School Boys Basketball Team will be Monday, Oct. 31st at 4:45 p.m. Any Logic School boy that wants to play basketball should be at this tryout. If you have any questions or issues, please let me know. You can email me at lburgess@veritasnc.org.
