CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, DURATION, AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., crews will be on-site and will continue clearing the project Right of Way of trees, stumps, and other surface vegetation between Lakeside and Home Avenue. Crews will begin grubbing the cleared sections of the project Right of Way to remove the underground vegetation such as roots. Starting Monday, June 27, crews will begin installing erosion and sediment control simultaneously along with the grubbing operation. These construction activities will take place off the roadway within the project Right of Way. Potential for some parking restrictions along Briggs Street to facilitate clearing operations.

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street. 

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Initial Contract 2024

                                                    Final Contract 2027
