Described by its founders as an Airbnb for kitchens, Syzl aims to bridge the gap between culinary professionals looking for space to work and kitchen operators with unused facilities.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has announced the 12 finalists of the Business Models Streams for the Food Waste Reduction Challenge. The Challenge, launched in November 2020 under the Food Policy for Canada, aims to deliver high-impact solutions to food waste in Canada. Read about the finalists in the link below.
 Loblaw Companies Limited has announced plans to build a 1.2 million square foot logistics and distribution centre in East Gwillimbury, which is expected to bring more than 1,000 jobs to the community.

An Investment in Clean Tech
The federal government has announced an investment of nearly $2 million for Bioenterprise Canada to deliver the FoodShift program, a green initiative that will help southern Ontario agri-business and food processers adopt net-zero technologies.

The project will connect agri-business and food processors looking to adopt clean technologies with cleantech entrepreneurs developing technologies that are ready for market. Read more.
