MAYOR TO ADDRESS CITY AT 3:30 P.M. TODAY ON FACEBOOK LIVE!
Mayor Phil Fisher will address the City via  Facebook Live  today at 3:30 P.M.  Mayor Fisher will discuss the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic and steps the City will take in regards to shelter-in-place guideline restriction changes anticipated today from Governor Tate Reeves.
$310 Billion APPROVED & Headed to Help Small Business!
Today, the House of Representatives passed and President Trump signed into law an additional $310 billion to the CARES Act Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

However, given the severity of the economic crisis, this relief won’t be enough for small businesses on the brink of closure.

For those needing help navigating CARES Act programs, the U.S. Chamber has produced a number of  guides  to help small businesses, independent contractors, and gig economy workers prepare to file for relief.

The  Mississippi Economic Development Council (MEDC) Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA) and the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC)  have joined forces and developed a brief survey to help better understand the impact of the outbreak on your organization.
 
 
This information will help to represent your needs during the ongoing period of recovery. The results of the survey will be shared with Governor Tate Reeves’ Governor’s Commission for Economic Recovery.
 
Please complete this survey by  TODAY, Friday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m.     Individual responses are confidential. Only the compiled results of the survey will be provided to the sponsoring organizations. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
