In honor of her hard work and dedication, Mrs. Jean Garrick has been selected for the 2024 Buck Martin Award presented by the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Congratulations!

Rising sophomore Cameron Moore participated in The Ohio State University Marching Band Clinic, a workshop that is led by students and staff from The Ohio State University Marching Band. The clinic concluded with a public performance on Sunday, July 14.

ICYMI! State Champion representatives from Wrestling, Competitive Cheer, Boys Golf, Girls Lacrosse and Boys Lacrosse participated in the Rotary Club of Westerville Independence Day Parade!

Summer Reading Challenge

Keep track of where Mr. Garrick is doing his summer reading, and you may receive a prize! Everyone participating in the Summer Reading Challenge will submit their answers at the beginning of the school year, and those with the correct answers will be entered into a prize drawing.

Teaching Opportunities at SFD

We are looking to hire a few more great teachers to add to our wonderful faculty.

Areas of Focus:

1. Math - Responsible for teaching Geometry and Algebra III-Trigonometry
2. Chemistry - Responsible for teaching College Prep Chemistry
3. Spanish (2 openings) - One is responsible for teaching levels 3 and 5 AP, and the other is responsible for teaching for levels 1 and 2.

SFD Flag Corps/Color Guard Advisor Opening

St. Francis DeSales High School is seeking a flag corps/color guard advisor for the 2024 Marching Band season. The advisor will be responsible for creating and teaching routines to our highly motivated flag corps members. Previous experience in flag corps or color guard is required. Stallion Leadership Camp

The Stallion Leadership Camp for rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade students is still open for registration! Come join the fun!

The Stallion Leadership Camp is to designed to encourage confidence, foster personal growth, and cultivate a strong sense of camaraderie among like-minded peers. During camp, you will participate in an array of engaging workshops, dynamic team-building activities, and thought-provoking discussions. You will gain valuable insights into effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and other critical leadership skills.

ATTENTION CLASS OF 2025 STUDENTS/PARENTS!

All students in the class of 2025 are required to submit verification of a second dose (given on or after their 16th birthday) of the Meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) vaccine prior to the start of their senior year. It is a requirement in Ohio for all incoming seniors. Families can email the updated immunization record to the School Nurse, Kelli Fitzpatrick, BSN, RN, LSN, at fitzpatrick@desales.co or bring in a hard copy to school.
