For a lot of people, October is their favorite month of the year. For some of these people the appeal is not just changing colors and hoodie weather. A lot of people love October because they consider it “Halloween” month. In Christian circles Halloween is a bit contentious. Some believers view it as a harmless and fun tradition for kids. However, others see the holiday as much more insidious and believe that Halloween is essentially a celebration of the occult and evil.

Red Bird Mission
In the month of October, 100% of your donations will be sent to Red Bird Mission, a comprehensive United Methodist Mission in Beverly, Kentucky.

YOUTH GROUP
October 24th
We will have Youth Group every other Sunday for the rest of the year. We will NOT be having it on October 10th due to our county going into the red COVID category. We will plan on Youth Group for the 24th. It will be at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall and is for all students 5th-12th grade. The focus this month will be on Worship.

Super Sunday parties are back!!! The party this month will be on October 3rd with a Fall theme. We will be having the party outdoors (weather permitting). If weather does not permit, the party will be indoors (masks required). The Super Sunday parties are for children K-4th grade and begin at 5:00 p.m. Come join the fun!!!

PASTOR APPRECIATION
October is Pastor Appreciation month!!! Let's show our thankfulness!! If you would like to give a monetary donation to Pastor Sean and his family, please place your gift in the offering plate or mail to the church at 210 W. Central Ave., North Judson, IN 46366.

We are planning Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 30th, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the church parking lot. More details will be coming in your upcoming Sunday bulletins!!!

LITTLE LIGHTS PRESCHOOL
With Fall starting we've been talking about how the weather changes with the seasons. Halloween is on the minds of all the children. They have already started deciding what costumes that they'll be wearing to our party.
They will be doing a variety of activities about Halloween and the colors orange, purple, & black.
Our preschoolers in the MWF class will learn that God helps us do hard things through stories about David.
The T/TH class will learn about Abraham and how God takes care of us.
There will be no preschool Oct. 18-22 during Fall Break!

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The UMW meeting will not take place in-person this month because of COVID restrictions. We will re-evaluate next month when the time comes.

GAME NIGHT
We will not have Game Night in the month of October due to COVID restrictions. Stay tuned for more information next month.
