A common request from our lender partners has been to have the ability within IBMC Bridge to assist borrowers both in finishing their loan applications and in editing application information once it has been submitted.
How to Edit an Application In Progress
If an application is in progress, and the borrower needs your assistance in completing the fields, follow these steps:
- Within the IBMC Bridge web portal, go to “Loans” then “Loan Applications."
- Select the loan you want to edit and click “View Loan Application.”
- The borrower's actual loan application will now be accessible.
- Fill out the remaining information and click “Submit.”
How to Revise an Application After It Has Been Submitted
If an application is currently submitted and the borrower entered incorrect information or needs information added, you can now send the application back to the borrower for revisions by following these steps:
- Within the IBMC Bridge web portal, go to “Loans” then “Loan Applications.”
- Select the loan you want to edit and click “View Loan Application.”
- Once opened, click on the tab that says “Request Revisions” and add a note.
- Click "Send."
The borrower will then receive a notification of the revision request with the note attached.
If you are going to make the changes on behalf of the borrower, refresh the page and click on the loan again. Click on “Loan Application” and you will be able to make necessary changes or edits for the borrower.
Note: If the loan application is submitted and imported into your loan origination system, or you have manually started the loan application from the “App User” page, you will not be able to make these changes.
