FIPPOA
F ire Island Pines Property Owners Association

I am saddened to report that a fire broke out this morning and destroyed a house in our community. The fire was reported around 8 am on the west side of the Pines. The volunteers from the Fire Island Pines Fire Department were joined by firefighters from Cherry Grove, Davis Park, Fair Harbor, Kismet, Ocean Beach, Point O' Woods and Saltaire, as well as crews from Bayport, Sayville and West Sayville. With their help, they were able to contain the fire. We are grateful that no one got hurt. The cause remains unknown.

On behalf of FIPPOA, I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the homeowners, whose names have not been released. We would also like to express our deep gratitude to the Fire Island Pines Fire Department and the fire departments of all of the other communities who joined in to help.

As you all know, fire is a major concern in our community. We encourage all residents, whether homeowners or residents, to be familiar with the guidelines posted at  FIPFD and also in The Sandbook.

Sincerely,

Jay
