Dream in Green is thrilled to announce that the 2021-2022 Green Schools Challenge will be kicking off our 15th Anniversary! To date, our programs have served 340 unique schools and over 90,000 individuals, roughly 74,000 of which were K-12 students. Our partner schools have helped to conserve 37.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which saved 3.5 million dollars and reduced or offset 57.7 million pounds of carbon emissions–which is the same as taking 3,698 homes off the electricity grid for one year. Join us as we plan to make a bigger impact in the next 15 years.

The Green Schools Challenge is a whole-system program that engages students in hands-on activities to save energy and water at school and teaches them about the links between natural resources, climate change and community sustainability.

K-12 Schools enrolled will receive access to:

• Free environmental education curriculum
• Teacher professional developments
• Yearlong support from DIG staff
• Mini grants to fund green initiatives

Dream in Green hosted its Annual Awards Ceremony virtually where DIG staff and Board of Director members spent the evening highlighting all of the amazing teachers, students, administrators and schools that participated in the Green Schools Challenge. Our winners went above and beyond what was expected and inspired others to be environmental stewards.

This school year has been an unprecedented one that has disrupted normal life on a global scale but we are thankful for all educators who forged ahead to help us to continue our mission.
