LOREAUVILLE, La. ---The Main Cup’s “Think Pink! Honor Brunch” will bring the community together on Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with brunch specials, live music by Matt Castille, celebration and remembrance of those lost, fighting, supporting and surviving in the fight against breast cancer. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink.
The event celebrates the memory of Loreauville native, Katie Prados Boutte (1980-2020). Three special themed brunch packages are being offered and all packages include samplings of Peace, Love and Smoke cheeses and mini-cheesecake from 2 Girls & A Cheesecake.
The brunch packages are:
- “Think Pink!” which includes Shrimp Scampi Flatbread and a glass of Katie's favorite wine, Landry Vineyard Blueberry Merlot.
- "Pretty in Pink” which includes chicken alfredo flatbread and a Think Pink! mimosa.
- “Ruby Ribbon Bra Stuffle” a one-day-only creation, inspired by The Main Cup's signature Nutella & strawberry stuffed Belgian waffle, aka: "stuffle" plus a soft drink.
A portion of brunch package ticket sales benefits the Lydia Cancer Association and there will also be an at-event “drop ticket” raffle of donated items with 100% of raffle proceeds also going to the Lydia Cancer Association.
Reservations are encouraged and accepted by phone (337) 944-6003 or drop by The Main Cup during regular business hours. Seating will be confirmed with meal selection and prepayment. Advance ticket holders will receive a special “goodie bag” from Roxie LeBlanc of Ruby Ribbon shapewear.
About Katie Prados Boutte:
Katie was a Loreauville native and resident who lost her battle to breast cancer in April 2020 at age 39. She was the much loved and respected long-time manager of Loreauville’s Teche Café, (which operates next door to The Main Cup.) Because her death came during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no funeral, but many will remember that her friends, family, and others from the community put pink ribbons along the procession route to her gravesite.
About The Main Cup:
Opened in October 2023, The Main Cup is located in the historic circa 1910 “Bank of Loreauville” building at the corner of Main St. and Railroad Av. in the Village of Loreauville. The Main Cup, along with its “adopted sister,” Church Alley Café & Bistro, are the original shops of the Jonas Hebert family’s Simple Faith Coffee Company shops.
The Main Cup features custom-roast Rêve coffee, specialty beverages and a simple but wholesome menu. It quickly established itself as the gathering place for the Loreauville community and visitors alike and offers an upscale vibe with a hometown twist.
Known for regularly hosting special events that benefit local/area charities and non-profit organizations, giving back is a cornerstone of this and all Simple Faith Coffee Company shops.
