If you're hiring new staff for the new school year, be sure to invite them to attend Project RISE's Back-to-School Virtual Open House as part of their orientation/onboarding process. Taking place on August 11, from 11 a.m.-noon, this virtual open house is a perfect way for new staff to become acquainted with what Project RISE has to offer (such as trainings, courses, coaching services, and peer learning opportunities) and ask questions that will help them start the year off ahead of the curve. Structure and Clear Limits - August 11, 2-4 p.m.

Ever wonder why some children participate in engaging activities while others put their head down on the table? In this training, youth development program staff will learn to recognize and respond to youth needs by creating routines and establishing effective guidelines and consequences that will result in positive youth engagement.

August 12, 1-3 p.m.

Show the children and youth in your programs that you are interested in what they have to say. In this interactive workshop, youth development staff will learn how to ask effective questions, listen actively to youth, and offer encouragement beyond basic praise. Take an implementation plan back to your program.

August 16, 1 - 3 p.m.

In this virtual training, certified teachers learn how to use reading assessment data from the ORF and Maze to identify struggling readers and develop reading intervention plans unique to each student. Certified teachers will also learn how to create a plan of action to differentiate reading instruction. Please register for this training on Trust Academy. Once registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and handouts the day before the training.

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports, with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for assisting the Communications team with all forms of digital and traditional media, with a primary focus on social media and website content updates. The Digital Media Specialist will be the primary executor of social media strategies as directed by the Communications Director and the Media Manager. The incumbent will also work with marketing and public relations consultants, as assigned. Under the guidance of the Media Manager, the incumbent will have creative latitude to develop written content, support ad buys and other marketing strategies, will have the opportunity to cultivate media stories, and will assist with web content development. Annual salary is $48,668.
