Canoe/Kayak Passive Park Gets 73 Florida-Friendly Trees Through Matching Grant

The passive park at Lakes by the Bay Park (where our Canoe/kayak launch is at) just got greener, thanks to a grant from Miami-Dade County's Neat Streets and their Million Trees Miami initiative. The matching grant helped us add 73 new Florida-friendly trees to the site to create a tropical hardwood hammock that hosts many native species and wildlife.

Check out this video to learn more and visit the site for yourself, located east of SW 85th Avenue and south of SW 212 Street.
