Because the shipments never stop ...
"They just keep coming and coming and coming. There's never a letup, it's relentless. Every day it piles up more and more, and you gotta get it out, but the more you get out, the more keeps coming in! And then the bar code reader breaks!"

(Note: we were not actually passed out and pouring boxed wine into our coffee cups. This was taken in jest, in case you were concerned about us!)

It's been a week with back-logged shipments arriving. About three weeks' worth arrived in the last couple of days. Part of the joy of the current "situation" is that when shipments do arrive, they all seem to arrive at once. We've processed three major orders this week. Too many new items and fabrics to show in one newsletter, in fact.
It's real, and it's spectacular ...
By George, it's hard to capture the hand stitching on this quilt by Nicole Dunn. Called Oasis, it's the entry for the Oasis challenge.

She completed this as part of her work with the 4 Common Corners offshoot of SAQA. A partnership with several other local artists, the group includes fiber artists from all around the 4 Corners states.

Fusilli-ness ahead ...
You're sure to get applause for any project made of the new Seinfeld fabrics.

Suitable to make shirts, puffy or otherwise. Make oven mitts and to protect the hands of a budding model. Make a bowl cozy to reheat your lobster bisque.

Pre-wash to avoid shrinkage.

Did we just "Yada, yada" over the best part? No. We mentioned the bisque.

Get your kicks
Everything's Jake if you make a musically themed quilt and use this jazzy fabric.

Use wool and cotton batting, and go trapunto around the images in the panel for a hot and heavy quilt to keep your favorite musician or music fan warm.

Use the blocks for matching pillows -- and add something new to your repetoire.

They might even dance when they receive it.

You're going to need it ...
Your dancing may not win you a big hand, but you could use these new Bosal pre-cut batts for mitts.

Made from a special high temperature material, they're suitable for kitchen or outdoor grilling.

You could even use them to protect your hands if you're a hand model. Pre-cut so if you're hands are bothering you for cutting thick stuff, you can protect them that way, too.

What-ley to give as gifts?
If you've pulled a bowl out of the microwave after heating your mulligatawny or Beef-A-Reeno, you know that bowl gets hot. Drop it, and it's breaking bad, all over the kitchen floor.

Make a bowl cozy from this template and pre-cut batts. It's just the ticket for super bowl handling.

Make some for gifts. Maybe you'll get a Label Baby Junior in return!

Newly kitted. For you or out of town visitors, the perfect souvenir.

We've taken one of the newest hot air balloon panels, paired with the Sidelights pattern.
Added in some Grunge and a bit of solid and you've got an uplifting wall hanging in your choice of Sunrise Red or Early Morning Blues.

Coming harvest
Close readers know that we're moving into fabric production.

The first strike-offs of Terrie Mangat's new collection -- a Hip Stitch exclusive -- have arrived.

These are the first half of the collection. We're still tweaking color and a couple of spots where the repeats need to be finessed.

Come see them at the cutting table. We're impressed by the hand of the fabric and think you will be, too.
How sharp are Jeremi's resharpened blades? If you use them to slice cold cuts, there's no place for the flavor to hide.

CLICK HERE to see a video of the resharpening process in action. He backs up the claim that these blades are sharper than new with proof.

Packs of five are just $18.54. That's less than $3.75 per blade. If you prefer new, we still sell them for one dollar over wholesale.
Salami, salami, baloney ...
No matter your dream, the Sweet Dreams dreamcatcher print is available on a field of purple, black and white, too.

Exploding Heart Kits
Like a gas main under a restaurant, this exploding heart quilt uses color and a neutral field.

If you are perhaps frightened from the explosion in white, you can use any neutral, for a different overall effect.

Suddenly you're in
Lord of The Flies

Halfway between the tropic of Capricorn and the equator (or was it tropic of Cancer?) Hoffman sources batiks from Indonesian artisans.

You're overdue to check it out the pre-order deal we're offering on batik bundles.

From Jeremi's Workshop:

An oldie ...

Condition on this one is not great, but good. Some re-touch painting by the original owner. Decal wear is normal for a machine of this age.

We're electing not to repaint due the machines age.

Aficionados will recognize the index-less tension dial. It has the logo placed high on the lamp holder -- another distinguishing mark.

According to the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society it's a 1937. Thats only the fourth year of manufacture for these Singer Featherweights. If you're looking for an original, this one is a little rough in finish, but it is on the rare side and it is ready to run for decades to come with new belt, motor, LED bulb, oil drip pad and more.
