What a storm that was! Our thoughts and support behind everyone who was impacted yesterday - the Log Cabin stood firm while just around the corner, roofs were blown off and there was significant damage - particularly to Chilangos. We're so sorry to hear they're temporarily shut down and if we find a way you can help, we'll be sure to let you know.
Let's hope they'll still be able to join us for Belleville's Waterfront and Multicultural Festival coming up on July 7 - 10! Plus so much more happening in Belleville leading up to our signature event celebrating its 44th year!
Scroll down to the end to see what Discover Belleville has to offer this month.
Which means the Cabin's going to be buzzing getting ready so you may not hear from us for a couple of weeks.
I also picked a fine time to leave on a holiday (a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend Wimbledon has lured me away) but I know that Susan and Lisa have it all under control along with Reid, our summer student and our newest addition, Yona!
Yona Harvey joined us last week and with a journalism background and passion for creating experiences for young and old alike, she's excited to share all there is to do and see in Belleville with us!
Please don't forget to submit nominations for the Quinte Business Achievement Awards before the end of the month... and if you are nominated, we're happy to help with the formal application process through the summer.
Final note - if you participated in the Rapid Testing program in the past 12 months, Health Canada and the Ministry of Health would like to hear from you with this quick 5-minute survey. Your feedback provides vital information on the importance of the program and will help inform decisions on future actions.
