Coastal Racing returned to action in back-to-back weekends of GNCC Racing at "The General GNCC" at the famed Aonia Pass MX in Georgia. The dryer conditions suited our riders well as we bring home a couple of wins and some season-best finishes after 3+ hours of racing.
In the Pro classes, Ricky Russell #212 overcame some adversity, looking to put last year's season ending race at The General in the past and building upon his strong start to the 2021 season, ultimately finishing 5th XC1. Johnny Girroir #969 backed up his Florida win with another commanding victory in the XC2 class and 7th O/A. Ben Parsons #300 narrowly missed out on the XC3 podium, finishing just 10 seconds off the podium for 4th.
In the amateur classes, Cole Whitmer charged hard to a 16th in 250A after a mid-race mishap set him way back in the standings. Alex Patterson rode smooth and consistent to finish inside the Top 20 in the stacked Four-Stroke A Lites class while Shawn Remington made another trip up to the podium for a 3rd in the 40+ A class. Lastly, Lane Whitmer grabbed the elusive 250B win in dominant fashion, winning by over six minutes and taking the B Overall in the process.
