Summer Reading with Mr. G

Summer Reading Challenge: Here is Mr. Garrick's Summer Reading mystery location #3. Where is he today? Remember to keep track of where Mr. Garrick is doing his summer reading throughout the summer, submit your answers at the beginning of the school year, and you may receive a prize!

Summer Assignments for AP Classes

Students in an Advanced Placement class are required to complete additional summer assignments. This includes English, World Languages, Science, Computer Science, Math, and Social Studies.

Spirit Shop Open This Saturday

The Spirit Shop will be open during the Mothers Club Gently Used Uniform Sale (Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9 until Noon). Most items discounted UP TO 40%, with select items priced as low as $5.00. Come help us make room for our new fall inventory.

Senior Spirit Day

When: August 10 beginning at 2pm

Where: SFD campus

Senior parents will join the Class of 2022 at 6pm in the school gymnasium for a prayer service, followed by a picnic dinner in the Senior Courtyard. Note: this event is mandatory for seniors.

Cookout in the Courtyard - For Rising 7th and 8th Grade Students and Families

When: August 11 at 7pm

Where: Senior Courtyard

Class of 2025 Orientation

When: August 18; Check-in between 11:00-11:20am; the Orientation will start promptly at 11:30am.

Where: SFD campus

Freshmen parents will join their students at 6pm in the school gymnasium for a prayer service, followed by a pizza social.

Stallion Golf Outing

Sports Picture Day Order Information

All athletes will receive a picture day form from team coaches. Please fill out the form and bring it to picture day. IMPORTANT: If you place your picture order online, you still need to

bring the completed paper form to picture day for tracking purposes.

If you forget to purchase your pictures before/on the picture date, you have 48 hours to order online.

If you do not purchase before/on picture day, you will receive a proof of your athlete with a unique code to order online. *Anyone photographed individually will receive a proof.

Seniors - Mark Your Calendars!

Coming Soon: Sign Up for FALL KAIROS retreat (November 9 - 12)

Kairos is a 4-day off-site retreat that has been a tradition for over 20 years at SFD. Every senior will attend one retreat this year, so please mark your calendars now!

A few details: Students will take a bus to The Spiritual Center of Maria Stein (2365 St. Johns Road, Maria Stein, OH 45860) and stay all 3 nights. Students and parents will be asked to fill out Diocesan forms ahead of time; a final count is needed at least 6 weeks before the desired retreat. Once students sign up, the Campus Ministry department will contact parents with additional details, using the email provided on the sign up.

Seniors - Keep an eye out for the fall retreat sign up link. If you cannot attend in the fall, please note the dates of the Winter and Spring retreats (below).

Nurse's Notes

Junior Student Vaccines:

*All Junior students are required to submit verification of a second dose of the MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccine prior to the start of their senior year. It is a requirement for all incoming seniors in Ohio. Families can email the verification information to school nurse Kelli Fitzpatrick at fitzpatrick@desales.co or bring in a hard copy to school.
