Fall is officially here!

With the first trimester now behind us, advising season is well underway. There are still a few students who have not scheduled an advising appointment to plan for spring classes. If this is you, be sure to sign up for advising as soon as possible by clicking on the links below.

In addition to planning for your spring semester, advising is a great time to touch base with your advisor, share what's going well, and discuss any challenges you may be facing. If you're finding certain areas difficult, consider reaching out for support through the learning labs at your community college.

All students participating in CHSSA sports are required to have a form on file at the high school they attend.

Remember: it is the student's responsibility to communicate with professors regarding any missed classes.

CHSSA Form

It is your responsibility to be familiar with the dates, deadlines, and policies of the community college you are taking your classes through.

*If you are thinking about withdrawing from any classes, be sure to plan ahead and talk to your advisor. Wait to make any schedule changes until after you have spoken with your advisor.

Did You Receive a Bill from the Community College?

Wait - isn't CEC supposed to cover my tuition?!?!

Sometimes the community colleges will send a bill, or you may see a statement with a balance owed when you log into your community college student account - it may even show past due.

Don't Worry! You do not need to pay this bill.

Billing is reconciled between the community college and CEC each semester.

Should you ever exceed your funds for the school year, CEC will bill you directly, after the school year ends (Summer 2025).

If you have any questions or are wondering if you need to pay a bill you received from the community college, please reach out to your advisor to confirm,

before you pay.

* Unless you are taking additional classes as self-pay
