SESSION 1-
"Use Social Media to Increase Your Visibility, Help with Promotion, and Build Your Personal Brand"
Wednesday, July 28 -- 12:00-1:00 pm
Use social media to disseminate your work, grow your network, help with promotion, and build your personal brand. This webinar will help you understand what a personal brand is and how to leverage social media to clearly and authentically convey your brand and message to others. 

Laura will tap into her brand-building expertise, share best practices, and leverage case studies featuring strong industry leaders who have built remarkable personal brands that have impacted their careers. 

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: 
  • Learn how to build your personal brand.
  • Receive a template to build your personal brand.
  • Obtain a “toolkit” of strategies (e.g., leveraging social media) to help you hone your brand and disseminate your content.

Join Eight Active Ingredients of Tai Chi© certified teacher Barry Friedman in exploring the traditional principles of Tai Chi in a relaxed, informal and experiential session. Regular practice of this gentle “meditation in motion” leads to more vigor and flexibility, better balance and mobility, and an overall sense of well-being.

Barry is a long-term committed practitioner of tai chi, teaches regularly to his own classes as well as at the Tree of Life tai chi studios in Watertown, and brings his experience as a life-long soccer goalkeeper coach to bear in providing a welcoming environment for the cultivation of fitness, health and mental well-being.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS! CFD WRITING SUPPORT SERVICE
Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development
The MGH Scientific Writing Group (SWG), led by Rebecca Ward, PhD, is comprised of Medical/Scientific Writers in the Department of Medicine. Formed in 2020, the SWG meets regularly to discuss best practices for writing manuscripts, protocols, and grants. Their expertise spans cancer immunology, cardiovascular biology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases. Together, they have experience editing and writing manuscripts and all types of grants (R01, R21, K99, F31, U19, U01, U54, internal MGH and foundation grants). They also assist in the publication of primary articles, reviews, commentaries, perspectives, and book chapters.

In collaboration with the MGH Center for Faculty Development, the MGH SWG will provide freelance writing and editing services for MGH faculty and trainees for $50/hour, subsidized by the CFD, up to 5 hours and limited to once annually. Those who are interested are asked to fill out a brief application, using the link below. This application has no deadline but is based on when writing support is needed.

The TEDxMGH videos present inspirational stories from the MGH hospital, including how people have handled challenges through innovation, resilience, vulnerability, and connection. These monthly 10-12 min. stories by your colleagues cover far-reaching topics – from antiracism and social justice to climate change, laughter, coping with loss, COVID-19, and living and working with depression.
