Biden’s Border Crisis: The Worst June On Record
|
|
The facts are clear: Joe Biden is responsible for the worst crisis at the border in DHS history. Biden created and is now refusing to end a historic humanitarian, national security, and public health crisis at our border.
What you need to know:
-
New June border numbers show 207,416 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.
-
This is the highest number of June apprehensions in DHS history.
-
It’s a 9% increase over last June, and a 310% increase from the average number of June apprehensions during the Trump administration.
-
15,271 unaccompanied children were apprehended.
-
83,176 illegal immigrants were apprehended from countries outside the Northern Triangle and Mexico, showing that Biden’s crisis is global.
-
56 migrants on the terror watchlist have been apprehended trying to enter the U.S. between ports of entry since the fiscal year began in October.
-
20,365 illegal immigrants were released into the United States in June, only 17 were released during President Trump’s last full month in office.
- Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate.
-
Drug overdoses reached an all-time high in 2021 due in part to Biden’s open border.
-
621 pounds of deadly fentanyl – the equivalent of more than 140 million lethal doses – were seized at the southern border in June alone, with much more likely getting through.
- Biden’s disastrous policies created the crisis at the southern border.
-
In Biden’s first 100 days he took more than 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting construction of the border wall and ending the Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy.
-
Illegal immigrants are thanking Biden for his weak immigration policies, saying they “didn’t even want to try” crossing the border when Trump was president.
-
Thousands of migrants are gathering at the border because they believe that under Biden “ the border is open.”
-
The Biden administration has spent $72 million of taxpayer money in shutdown costs to avoid building the border wall.
- Americans are witnessing month after month of record crisis at our southern border, all thanks to Biden’s reckless open border policies.
The bottom line:
In November, voters will hold Biden and Democrats accountable for their dangerous policies by electing Republicans up and down the ballot who will fight to secure our border and keep our communities safe.

Red State Recovery Continues
|
|
While Joe Biden delivers high gas prices and the worst inflation in 40 years, Republican-led states are delivering more jobs and lower unemployment.
What you need to know:
-
Newly released data from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting America back to work.
-
Through June, 9 of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- The top 5 states for jobs recovered are all led by Republicans.
- 12 of the 15 states that have more jobs than when the pandemic hit are Republican-led: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
- Republican-led states on average have recovered over 102% of their lost jobs compared to just 89% for Democrat-run states.
-
Out of the top 20 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 16 are led by Republican governors and 16 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
-
8 of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republicans.
- The average unemployment rate for the nation’s 28 states with Republican governors is just 3.0%.
- Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate nearly a percentage point higher – 3.8%.
- 70% of the states with unemployment rates lower than when the pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and 83% have Republican-controlled legislatures.
-
Out of the 14 states that have hit new record low unemployment rates, 9 have Republican governors and 11 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
The bottom line:
Republican policies work. Republicans are delivering a faster recovery and lower unemployment for their states, setting an example that Democrats in Washington and across the nation should follow.
