Volunteer Readers Needed!

Education Connection is in partnership with 11 school districts and 100+ elementary schools. Approved volunteers and select elementary students practice reading together and engage in conversations about the books being read. Education Connection volunteers (Literacy Partners) serve with consistency and humility while keeping it simple. The program involves a WEEKLY 1x1 reading session with TWO children for 15 MINUTES EACH for the school year from approximately SEPTEMBER - MAY.

Research has shown that children not reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade are four times more likely to drop out of school. Through Education Connection, join the movement to minimize this trend by becoming a volunteer in Marble Falls.

How to Get Started

1. Make a 30 minute weekly commitment to serve during the school year.

2. On August 1, Register at

Camp Agape 9th Annual Memorial 5K!  Saturday

August 27 at 8:00am

Camp Agapè is a grief support program for children and families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Every summer since 2014, Camp Agape has held an annual 5K and children’s Memorial Run in the heart of Marble Falls, TX, focused on the memory of lost loved ones and their families.

Hundreds attend every year as they bring their kids, dogs, and hearts in a selfless effort to support those affected by a loss.

Money raised through this event allows children to attend Camp Agape's Kids Summer Camp program for free.

Awards include a team trophy, medals for the top 3 male and female 5K runners, as well as a youth division. Each pre-registered participant will receive a t-shirt upon check-in. Following the race, there will be a ceremony to celebrate the lives of our loved ones.

Remembering Clyde Formby

Clyde Formby, a member of Trinity who had moved in recent years to live near his daughter, died peacefully after a short illness back in early June. Some of us will remember both Clyde and his wife Cherry with affection. Clyde was buried on June 18 next to Cherry at Marble Falls Cemetery.
