Optometry's Fund for Disaster Relief
When property damage to your practice or home has occurred, the AOA Foundation is available to help. In times of stress and disruption, Optometry’s Fund for Disaster Relief (OFDR) can provide support so that doctors impacted can return to providing eye and vision care in their community. OFDR is available to aid doctors who have experienced property damage to their home or business due to a disaster situation. Qualifying disasters include but are not limited to hurricanes, tornadoes, civil unrest, earthquakes, floods, and fires.
If you know an OD who has been impacted by a recent disaster, please do not hesitate to share this information with them,

Please Register for Giving Sight Day 2022
Giving Sight Day is the OAOP's annual “day of service” for Oklahoma optometrists to give back to their communities by performing free eye exams. It will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 9 AM (although some practices choose a different day and time to participate). The purpose of this event is to increase access to vision care for Oklahomans in-need, to engender goodwill in our communities, and to introduce potentially new patients to the importance of good vision care. Please participate!
Questions about Giving Sight Day, how to register, or how to plan your participation? Call the OAOP at 405.524.1075 and ask to speak to Carol Goodwin.

Support OOPAC
The Oklahoma Optometry Political Action Committee (OOPAC) is the tool we use to ensure support for optometry at the State Capitol. Our goal in 2022 is to raise $100,000 for this mission. Please donate generously and help us to elect and reelect lawmakers who value and understand quality vision care and the regulatory and legal framework needed to sustain it.
