Closing the Cybersecurity Skills Gap: Increasing Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Through Competency-based Mastery Learning Curricula Webcast
This webcast focuses on how Competency-Based Education (CBE) can rapidly increase the number of capable applicants for cybersecurity jobs. Differences in instructional design and capability maturity produced by CBE vs. Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) were discussed, along with recommendations for how to implement CBE in a traditional brick-and-mortar as well as online learning models.

The National Cybersecurity Student Association is seeking an Academic Faculty member to take on the role of Chapter Development Director to support the efforts of the Student Association's Student Chapters. The Chapter Development Director will collaborate with students, academia, government, and industry professionals while helping support and grow the program. 3CS Career Exploration Event
Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) is hosting a Career Exploration event to help Cybersecurity 2- and 4-year students and recent graduates understand the field and learn about many and varied career opportunities. They will have an opportunity to talk to professionals in the field about careers and jobs, and attend conference sessions specifically geared towards students to learn about advancements in the field. 3CS will be held Nov. 5-7, 2021 with the Career Exploration event taking place Nov. 6, 2021 from 2pm - 4:30pm. Financial support is available for students to attend.
