The Dubuque Area Chamber's Young Professionals Symposium is designed to give its participants an out-of-the-box look at development. Whether it be professional or personal, we strive to present our members with information that will matter as they progress in their careers. We want to be that local resource where Dubuque's workforce attends our events to help them flourish and succeed.

Codi Putnam

Origin Design

Meet the face behind YP Dubuque events! Codi Putnam is our new YP Director of Signature Events. She has planned great events, such as Explore and Restore Chaplain Schmitt Island and our upcoming YP Symposium on November 16, 2022. We don’t know

how we feel about her hating the smell of coffee, but we sure know that we love having her on YP Board.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Equity is to make sure people have equal opportunities, giving people access regardless of barriers.

  • Participate in equity by joining organizations, participate in local events, educate yourself and others, attend city meetings, attend conferences.

  • Don’t participate in the same type of conferences and professional development sessions you always do, get out of yoru comfort zone to learn.

  • Collaborate with others. Bring trainers or consultants to your organization to help with DEI efforts.
