Spring Session for Children
Learning Lab Explores Nature
A special spring session of the Faith & Justice Learning Lab offers an awareness of nature and guides children in exploring the connection between themselves and the earth. It runs April 16 - May 7, 10 - 11 am.

Expert gardener Greg Rosen will be on hand to guide us through planting seeds in small containers and in the Manse garden beds. All seeds will grow into edible herbs and greens, so whether children take them home for their garden or plant them at South, they’ll be part of the new life cycle of spring.

For children 5 - 12, parents welcome. Dress for outdoor exploration.

Please RSVP so we have enough supplies for all.

Movie Night Is Back! Saturday, May 6
Movie Night with potluck dinner, Saturday May 6, at 6 pm, in Fellowship Hall.

We'll start about 6 pm, probably allow like half an hour for people to get in and start eating. Then we can all finish dinner as we watch a movie from 6:30 or so to 9:30. Bring your own wine etc., we'll have water there. We have a great (and much bigger) screen from Margery's old church! Look for a signup sheet during our social time after church. You can also help with setting up chairs/tables, and taking down after our evening.

Movie not chosen yet, but pls see me after church with any ideas you have, or email me here.

Ideas so far: "Pride," cool tale of the LGBTQ community in London sending money to striking miner's in Wales in the 1980s, when both groups were being pushed down by Thatcher' government. Ends with miner's marching at the head of a "Pride" parade in London, the Miner's putting support for the LGBTQ community in their by-laws. Inspiring.

Or, another choice, "Cool Hand Luke" with Paul Newman.

Thanks, Hugh Bowen
Signup info here. Payment options are to send a check, hand a check to the farmer on April 16, or use Venmo.
