2019 CBPH Caucus APHA Newsletter: Early-Bird, Breakfast, & More
MESSAGE FROM THE CAUCUS CHAIR:

Caucus Members-
The Community Based Public Health Caucus (CBPHC) is busy planning for APHA 2019 in Philadelphia, PA. Registration is open and early bird prices end August 8, 2019. We have accepted a total of 112 abstracts which will make up nine oral sessions, four roundtables, two collaborative sessions in partnership with the Women's Caucus and the Environmental Justice Committee of the Environment Section, and three poster sessions. We are excited for the program you will experience when you attend APHA.

Save-the-date for our own CBPHC Learning Institute followed by the NCBON Community Reception to be held in the community on Sunday, November 3 in the afternoon/early evening. More details to come.

For our annual business meeting this year for the Caucus, we will have a ticketed event on Tuesday, November 5 from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m. You must purchase a ticket for the "CBPHC Business Meeting Breakfast" when you register for APHA to attend. There is a cost associated with this event, but we will have breakfast and coffee - something we have wanted for years. If you have already registered, you can update your registration.

If you are interested in being moderator for the Caucus sessions planned at APHA, please submit your interest or email Tricia Piechowski at [email protected] .

In Partnership,

Tonya S. Roberson, PhD, MPH, DTR
