Come volunteer at our upcoming
SPCA Donation Drive

Our GVCO Caring Hands organization has partnered with the Brandywine Valley SPCA and Senator Committa’s office to host a month long Donation Drive to benefit the local SPCA.

Throughout September and into early October, Caring Hands will need volunteers to be at weekend drop off days, Kong stuffing, adoption days and helping with the Chester County Seeing Eye puppies. All of this will take place at the new GVCO Community Center complex on Bacton Hill Rd. Further info and online sign up coming soon.
Charlestown Day 2021

GVCO Caring Hands has been volunteering at Charlestown Day for many years and GVCO was a benefactor several years ago. This fun filled family day will take place at Charlestown Park, 100 Academy Way, Phoenixville. We will be creating a volunteer sign up for multiple blocks of 2-3 hour time slots to help with the 5K run in the morning, carnival games all day long, a moon bounce for the kids and more. SAT/ACT Prep
With the school year approaching, many rising 11th and 12th graders are setting their sights on taking an SAT or ACT test this fall. Whether your student needs help preparing for the test, deciding whether to focus on the SAT or ACT, choosing a test date, or mastering the underlying content matter needed for the exams, contact Ivy Experience for help.
GVBL Summer League
Despite the occassional heat and rain, it was great getting the kids runnin' outdoors and seeing all the parents, friends and neighbors enjoying the games from lawn chairs in the grass. 469 kids participated - what a great community feel!

Congrats to this year's summer league champions...but bigger congrats to all those who participated, players, coaches, referees and spectators. For the most part there was lots of smiles, some very good basketball and great sportsmanship - just the way the GVBL mission and vison is drawn up!

GVCO Project Update
GVCO Community Center Sitework Continues at Bacton Hill

With each week that passes Spear Excavating continues to make progress on the site. The weather has been pretty good to GVCO as the cool nights and decent amount of rain has been enough to get the grass on the playing field to germinate and turn green with grass.
Tons of soil have been moved as the long lower stormwater basin is being formed. See the old GVBL Center building in the background.
The building pad is beginning to take shape.

GVCO Sponsor Spotlight
Haly Oil, now Haly Home Comfort, started in 1985 with one truck and one customer. Delivering home heating oil was the initial focus, but it wasn’t long before a service department was added.

Today, as the 35th anniversary approaches, the mission-driven Haly Companies strive to provide home comfort and energy services around the clock in the most customer-friendly way possible. And, Walter “Bud” Haly, owner and co-founder, continues to put customers and the community first, just as he did when he began delivering oil in 1985.

Bud and the entire Haly family have given GVCO an incredible amount of time, energy, resources and service throughout its 20+ years in existence. “We’re a family-owned business,” Bud says. “We live where you live, we raise our kids here, and we strive to have a positive impact on the environment. Our community is your community, and your friends are our friends.” And this epitomizes GVCO’s mission and goals. GVCO is proud to partner with our local friend and business owner.
