Last month, we reported that we have access to one of the UKs largest funding portals enabling you to find a funder for your project, whether it be for your church or community.

We are delighted to say we have had lots of interest from churches wishing to find funds for solar panals, youth workers, buildings repairs and upgrades to community facilities amongst other things and we have found funders who can help them progress with their exciting plans.

Would you like funding support? We can help you search the portal at a 1:1 session or you can join us at one of our planned sessions where you will be shown how to search for yourself. The next demonstration will be with Matthew Godfrey from Funding4Community on Thursday 23rd June at 12noon to 1pm.

We will be following up this session with our own 'How to write a great grant application' webinar on Monday 27th June at 2pm-2.45pm. All the webinars will be recorded and available for you to view afterwards on our training webpage.

New and updated legacies information

Each year around 4,000 people leave a gift in their will to their church, funding mission projects, maintaining beautiful church buildings and growing faithful communities. For many people, leaving a gift in their will is a final opportunity to make a lasting gift to God.

Many supporters would like to know how they could leave a gift in their will to their parish church but may not know how or who to speak to. It is important for all churches to make information available and to inspire members about the difference gifts in wills can make, no matter how large or small.

Speak to Becky or Janet to find out more or visit the link below.

Free will-writing service

Did you know that 60% of us don't have a will? Not only that, but 30% of existing wills are believed to be out of date.

To help put this right, the Church of England has partnered with Farewill to offer an online will writing service, which you can write from home in less than 30 minutes. Additionally there are a limited number of FREE wills available on a first-come-first served basis. The will-writing services usually costs £90 but quote parish-resources at the checkout for the free service.
