Current college and graduate school students, who graduated from a Grays Harbor County high school, are encouraged to seek financial assistance for their education.


GGHI Welcomes New Member, The McCleary Historical Society!

The McCleary Historical Society is a nonprofit providing the repository for McCleary history and artifacts with displays, a library and archive. 


Port of Grays Harbor Schedule Public Tours

The Port says that due to popular demand, they will be offering 5 opportunities for tours this summer, including a Saturday morning tour.


Betsy Seidel (a GGHI Ambassador!) Creates Nonprofit Volunteer Fund

In addition to her impact on our community through teaching, Seidel has been a huge advocate for the Grays Harbor Community Foundation nonprofit organizations community. The Nonprofit Volunteer Fund is designed to help local nonprofits with the recruitment, retention and recognition of their volunteers.


Grays Harbor Talk Announces Not-to-Miss 2024 Summer Events

Dancing with a pirate, flying a kite and tasting locally-made libations are just a few things awaiting you this summer.

New Funding Available for Small Business Loan and Investment Programs

The Washington State Department of Commerce has launched the first of five planned small business loan and investment programs that are aimed at increasing access to capital for small businesses in Washington, particularly those that have been historically underserved or underbanked. 


‘Big Win for the Harbor’: Leaders Celebrate Pellet Approval

Pacific Northwest Renewable Energy will begin construction this year on a 40-acre wood pellet manufacturing facility on property owned by the Port of Grays Harbor near its Terminal 3 dock in Hoquiam. The $250 million plant will take 24-30 months to build, the company said.


Ocean Salmon Fishing Quotas and Opening Set for Coastal Washington

Recreational anglers will have the opportunity to reel in Chinook and hatchery-marked coho salmon off the Washington coast soon.


Unemployment Rates Drop in Grays Harbor/Pacific for April

The Grays Harbor and Pacific county unemployment rates dropped by over an entire percentage point between March and April.
