DEM AIDS Walk Team

There is still time to join the DEM's AIDS Walk team!

The walk will be on Sunday, July 17 in Golden Gate Park. This year's theme is "Great Progress is Coming Together."

At UCSF, about a half dozen teams are having a friendly competition to see which team raises the most money. The team with the highest total donations wins the coveted AIDS Walk Trophy, presented by UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood. Proceeds for this year's walk will go towards the POP-UP program at Ward 86.

Click here to register, then join the team by searching "UCSF Division of Experimental Medicine". You, your friends and family are welcome to join and/or donate to the Division's team.

Why Sanjay Almost Changed His Name to Steve

"If you’re a person of color living in the United States, chances are, you’re living with some form of racial trauma. Whether it’s because you’ve been a victim of racism, because you know someone who has, or even if it’s just from watching events unfold on the news, these instances can take a heavy mental health toll. On this episode, CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta gets personal as he talks to racial trauma expert Sherry Wang about the devastating rise in anti-Asian hate during the pandemic. Plus, Muay Thai boxer Jess Ng gives us a quick lesson in fighting for ourselves."
