Ashton Mayes, owner of AMayesZing Photography Co., inside her new 123 King Street West Studio and Gallery | AMayesZing Photography Co. Joins the Downtown Prescott RiverWalk District |
If you've seen a Prescott rack card, pullup banner, or print ad over the past few years, chances are the iconic image of Prescott that caught your eye was captured by Ashton Mayes of AMayesZing Photography Co.
Now, you can find AMayesZing Photography Co. in a new gallery and studio space in the heart of the Downtown Prescott RiverWalk District.

"Prescott has always been my inspiration, and my gallery is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community on a deeper level, continue to create, and showcase my work," says Mayes of her new home location.
"I want this space to be a go-to destination for everyone in or visiting Prescott," said Mayes, "whether they are seeking professional and personalized photography, or browsing imagery that showcases Prescott's unique charm and vibrant history."
Located at 123 King Street West, beside Olde Magick Shoppe, Ashton is transforming one of the Downtown's best preserved ground-floor commercial locations into a combination gallery/studio/retail space, inviting customers and clients into a carefully designed realization of her vision.
"The artistic ambience of the gallery is really enhanced by the historic tin ceiling and exposed stone wall," Mayes said of the building's carefully restored interior.

Inside, visitors will find items ranging from large-format reproductions of her favourite photos showcased on multiple mediums, along with smaller items such as coasters, key chains, and puzzles featuring images Ashton has captured over the years. Customers will also be able to custom order art-quality prints from a selection of her photographs.
Participating in the King Street Promenade on August 3rd helped mark AMayesZing's gallery opening, and she looks forward to future events Downtown, and has plans for some in-store special events of her own.
AMayesZing Photography Co. is open Tuesday to Friday from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, Saturday 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 6 pm. You can follow them to see even more images of our area and beyond on Facebook and TikTok.

Notice to Businesses about Sign Permit Requirements and Associated Design Guidelines for Downtown.
Prescott’s Downtown & RiverWalk District Sign Design Guidelines are a tool businesses can use to inform the design of meaningful, high quality signage that positively contributes to Prescott’s visual landscape and placemaking efforts. Signs located within the Downtown Core/RiverWalk District zoning area must comply with the Downtown Sign Design Guidelines and Sign By-Law #16-2019.
Signs that identify particular establishments are an important design element because they give character to public places and contribute to pedestrian scale and ambiance. Signs should be used together with other elements such as hanging baskets, flags, awnings and overhangs to suggest an overhead enclosure that emphasizes the visibility of storefronts at the pedestrian level.
All businesses are required to obtain a sign permit prior to installing new or updating existing signage.
