Liz Brister featured

in Northside Sun

…..Fondren North leader Liz Brister was featured in last week’s Northside Sun for her effrots to keep neighborhoods "places where people live and raise families" instead of places were out-of-state investors try to turn a profit.

…..”My speciality is what a lot of people call unredeemable houses,” she says. “I get houses in bad shape, bring them back to life and sell them to first-time homeowners."

…..Liz and husband Bill have flipped 13 houses in their neighborhood since 2018 after she grew concerned that out-of-state corporations were buying houses and turning them into rentals.

…..The article also focused on squatters who take over abandoned houses and further erode the neighborhood quality of life.

…..The article recounts the times Liz has had to call JPD to remove squatters from houses she had purchased.
