STORM WATER MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT
The Town has received an MVP grant to do a town-wide storm water assessment and management plan which will address short- and long-term flood reduction solutions in our community.

From Monday October 10th through Friday October 14th, the Town’s consulting engineer (Weston & Sampson) will be completing visits to various locations throughout Richmond. The goal of this work is to understand drainage, culvert, and roadway conditions. Staff will be wearing reflective safety vests and their vehicles will have signs that say “Weston & Sampson field vehicle supporting Town’s storm water and flood evaluation project.” Some of their visits may be on private property. They will knock on your door before they enter your property.

We appreciate your support during this important work. Any questions please contact Danielle Fillio at townadmin@richmondma.org or by calling 413-553-7793.
The Town is looking at Town wide Safety concerns/Issues to consider action on. Please click here to review the current areas of concern that are being looked at.

The Richmond Consolidated School PTA
will be hosting its second annual RCS Trick or Treat event. This event began during the COVID lockdown in 2020 at the Town Hall and transferred over to the school last year. The event does not replace the town trick-or- treat night (scheduled to occur on 10/31) but rather acts as an extra fun evening school event.

This year the PTA is excited to invite Richmond community organizations (committees and boards) and local businesses to host a trick or treat table at the school event. Each organization/business will have their own table and can display information about the organization as well as have a representative from the organization present to hand out candy (or other non-food based treats) to the students.

The event is a great way for young Richmond and RCS families to connect with other groups in the town!

The event details are as follows:
When: Friday, 10/28/22 - 5:00-6:00 PM (4:45 table set up- you will have a table waiting there for you)
Where: The back parking lot at Richmond School

UPDATE ON COVID-19 Information
Up-to-Date COVID-19 Booster Information

As of September 1, 2022, updated Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 boosters are now authorized by the FDA and recommended by the CDC:
 ·   What are the updated boosters?
·    The new COVID-19 booster vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer are updated versions of
the original vaccines.
·    Who should get the new booster?
·    Anyone age 12 or older who completed a primary COVID-19 vaccination series or
received a booster dose at least two months ago.
·    Why do I need a booster?
·    Staying up to date on vaccines, including boosters, is the most effective way to prevent
serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. While vaccine protection
decreases over time, boosters re-stimulate the immune system and increase vaccine
efficacy again. Boosters are an important defense, even if you’ve already had COVID.
·    When and where can I get a booster?
·    Where you received previous vaccines, doctor’s offices, hospitals, pharmacies, and
community health clinics.
Where can I get more information?
You can visit www.mass.gov/covidbooster for the latest information
