Due to Hurricane Ian, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office Will be Closed from Wednesday, September 28 through Friday, September 30


Due to the potential impacts of Hurricane Ian, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office, located on the first and third floors of 515 N. Main Street in Gainesville, will be closed for business from Wednesday, September 28 through Friday, September 30.


The Supervisor of Elections Office anticipates reopening at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 3, but that decision will depend on the impacts of the storm on Alachua County.  


Voters still can register to vote and can update their voter registration information online by visiting RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov. Voters can also request a Vote-By-Mail ballot and can learn more about the upcoming General Election and voting by visiting VoteAlachua.gov.


Election worker classes that were scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, Thursday, September 29, and Friday, September 30 have been cancelled. To reschedule your class, please contact the Supervisor of Elections Office on Tuesday, October 4 starting at 8:30 a.m.


Our office encourages the public to follow the weather updates closely and to listen to county, state, and federal guidance concerning Hurricane Ian.
