What an amazing month!

Redding Emblem Club Comes Through Again!

On June 6th, FaithWorks and The House of Cornelius were presented with donation checks from Redding Emblem Club #515 at the 5th Annual Night of Honor. Melissa and Crystal and 9 other amazing agencies receiving donations were treated to a lovely dinner and great company.

Thank you Emblem Club for your longstanding support of our programs. We appreciate you!

This man has turned his life around beautifully and has been of service delivering urns of fallen veterans to the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in his custom 1934 Ford for almost a decade.

FaithWorks Families Present and Past

Families celebrated on June 17th at Viking Skate! They were treated to Skating and Pizza to celebrate the end of school and graduations. We've are so proud of all of our families for toughing it out another year!

Francis Court has a brand new apartment sponsor!

As a community coalition we rely heavily on the kindness of our community to help us serve people in need. Back in October the Redding Rancheria Tribal Council committed to sponsoring an apartment at Francis Court and this month they had the opportunity to see it through. When an entity sponsors an apartment, they are in charge of locating all the things a family needs to start fresh at our transitional housing program.  Not only do they locate the items but they set up the home prior to the homeless family arriving. When the family finishes program (roughly 2 years later), they take all the items with them to permanent housing! This is a BIG job that so many dedicated community members have taken on. We have found that through this process reciprocal blessings occur. The Tribal Council paid for brand new furnishings and set up the apartment for our newest family! A huge thank you to The Redding Rancheria and their public works team for moving and putting together so much furniture! It is now a beautiful home!

FaithWorks congratulates and thanks Melissa for accepting a new position as our Program Manager!

Melissa has been with the agency for more than 10 years and her dedication to our mission has changed so many lives. She is the perfect example of how well our programs work. She is a former Francis Court resident, who made changes in her life to better herself, provide for her beautiful family and grow closer to the Lord. The results of her efforts has been an amazing thing to witness! Go Melissa! Keep doing the things and saving the world! You Rock!

Back to School Already?

Not yet but before you know it, kiddos will be back to school and the resources and support are already pouring in! The Redding School District purchased school supplies, clothing and shoes for all our children in their district.  As you can see above, the donations were well received.

THANK YOU REDDING SCHOOL DISTRICT!

With our annual fundraiser dinner quickly approaching, we are in need of volunteers to help us gather donations for raffle prizes and silent auction items. Rebuilding Lives is an expensive gig and we need your help raising all the funds that we can! If you are able to help, please call the office and speak to Mamie (530)242-1121.

FaithWorks has been the recipient of many grants that have been coordinated by The Community Foundation of the North State.

One of the amazing projects pioneered with their help is our onsite youth advocacy program "Transitions." We serve more than 40 previously homeless youth at our Francis Court locations and this is a privilege that we do not take lightly. Check out the article the foundation put together about our youth program and our fight to mitigate and promote healing after adverse childhood experiences.

Thank You Community Foundation of the North State for all of the support you provide our community!
