When in Rome, the old adage goes, do as the Romans do.
Those words are often attributed to St. Ambrose, who coined the sentiment – if not those exact words – all the way back in the 4th century.
Earlier this week, as we gathered to cut the ribbon on our
new Therapy and Wellness clinc in Folsom, right smack in the middle of St. Tammany Parish’s horse country, we couldn’t help but think of St. Ambrose and to put our own local spin on his words.
Specifically: When in Folsom, saddle up – because that’s exactly what patients at the new clinic will be able to do.
In addition to offering a full suite of physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy services for both children and adults, the new clinic has also added therapeutic horseback riding to the health system’s stable of offerings.
On Wednesday (June 29), we cut the ribbon on the new clinic, which is on the campus of New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center, a local nonprofit we’re partnering with to provide this fantastic, and very Folsom, new service.
But that’s not all that’s happening around here. Below, find more headlines from St. Tammany Health System.
We hope you enjoy them, partner.
