2022 Israel pilgrimage insights

Come join us for an hour of visuals and personal reflections on First Church's most recent journey to the Holy Land. There were any number of remarkable and insightful moments and a few miracles along the way! That we'd love to share with the larger church. As a celebration of the Lord's goodness, we'll all enjoy a "Magnum Bar" dessert. If you'd like to sponsor a young person to go on the next journey to the Holy Land, please make out your check to First Church, with this notation: pilgrimage fund or you may give online at FirstChurchTulsa.org/give and designate youth Israel trip fund.
Sing with the choir this summer
Sundays at 10:15 a.m. (practice) and 11 a.m. (worship)
The summer choir welcomes you to add your voice to our ranks for the 11 a.m. worship service. The only time requirement is a brief rehearsal 45 minutes prior to the service. Worship 101 Summer Ring & Sing
Sundays, June 19 through July 31, 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m., West Parlor
Worship 101, for children in grades K-4, will be learning our summer hymns of the month by singing, and ringing chimes and handbells. Then, on Sunday, July 31, we will Ring & Sing to lead worship in the Sanctuary at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Watermelon in the Courtyard

Let’s celebrate the Fourth of July with watermelon in the Courtyard after our 11 a.m. worship service. We will also have patriotic pinwheels and flags for the kiddos!
Hope Is Alive supply drive
Sundays, July 10, 17, 24; Atrium
Hope is Alive is a Christian addiction recovery program that provides sober-living group homes for people coming out of addiction. First Church pastors and deacons have been meeting regularly in the men’s and women’s Hope is Alive homes, providing residents with a meal and the Gospel message. During the last three Sundays of July, we will be collecting supplies to support this mission. Containers will be placed in the Atrium. Please help by contributing household supplies such as Windex, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, paper towels. Find additional information online.

Ping Pong with a Purpose and Cookout

Dust off your paddles and start practicing for our annual ping pong tournament benefiting Anderson Elementary. Precept summer Bible study 2022
“Living Victoriously in Difficult Times” by Kay Arthur, Bob & Diane Vereen

Denise Rounds leads this no homework study as you will complete the work in the classroom together. It’s a welcoming time for those who have never done inductive Bible study as there is conversation focused on the text before us as we work through it together. We highlight keywords in the text and discuss what we understand the text to say relating it to our faith walk. It’s a comfortable level of study and promotes much camaraderie.

Congregational Meeting
Sunday, June 26, 12:15 p.m.; Sanctuary
The First Church Session has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, June 26, at 12:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The purpose of the meeting will be to act upon the recommendation of the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee to call Ms. Julia Metcalf to serve this congregation in the role of an associate pastor. We believe the Lord calls men and women into pastoral ministry, and does so through the voice of the congregation. We look forward to this next step in the call process. Please join us at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, in the Sanctuary for this important meeting.
