Last week, a new roof was installed for a family of six in Purcellville with support from C2 Operations and a grant from Wells Fargo. After years of wind damage, the family’s roof began to actively leak and the plywood sheathing was damaged.
A helpful neighbor knew of the family’s struggles during Covid due to one of the homeowner’s loss of employment and encouraged the family to apply for the Loudoun Habitat for Humanity Home Repair Program.
The family's roof has now been replaced and they no longer need to worry about leaks or damage to their home. One of the homeowner’s said that, “Life has been very difficult, as it has been for many, with not being able to provide for me and my family in repairs and personal care. To be comfortable in our home is a great blessing and again we are very thankful. We came to the USA for a better life since 1998, and I am again hopeful we will all have that. Me and my family look forward to a healthy and better future for everyone.”
