Dear Friends,

2021 has been a year like no other. Our mission, to raise up vulnerable children in a loving environment, is more important than ever before. During another year filled with uncertainty, God remains faithful. His hand of protection has been upon this ministry and His miraculous provisions in our work. God’s faithfulness through you - reaching out with love, prayers and financial support – has provided hope for children and families in need. The pandemic may be straining your economic security, but you refuse to turn away from those Jesus asks us to love. As such, Juna Amagara Ministries continues to offer hope and stability to the children we serve with our partner in Uganda, Hope Partners Africa.

The pandemic continues to make a significant economic impact on people in Uganda. The most significant is the loss or reduction in income sources due to job loss and inflation. It is projected that East Africa will remain in a crisis food security situation for many months. This is being driven by below-average agriculture production, below-average rainfall, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

But, by God's good grace, you have stood in the gap and provided hope to hopeless situations – access to life’s most basic need – food. In fact, your gifts have provided food for families or guardians of our sponsored children.
One of our sponsored children, Timothy, said this to his sponsor, “Many people became hopeless and developed anger due to the tough situation but amidst it all, Jesus raised his hand and calmed the storm on our side, I mean for the second time in the situation of hopelessness, God used you and you sent us food in plenty again."
We have great news to share with you. Generous partners have stepped forward with a matching gift of $50,000! Won’t you help us match this amount with your continued support this season? Your gift today will allow us to have TWICE the impact in supporting the children in our program.
We celebrate these highlights of the 2021achievements made possible by your gifts:
  • Every child and their families received critical food support, assisting with food shortages for JAM families, as well as soap and face masks.
  • Motorbikes were purchased for social workers at each of our 6 carepoints to equip them to provide more effective care for our students and their families.
  • Although not gathering in schools, our students received weekly homework packets prepared by our teachers and delivered to the students by our social workers who connected with students and assessed the needs of the family. Providing this support is not an easy task and the majority of children in other schools are not receiving educational assistance during this lockdown.
  • Discipleship cards were distributed to all sponsored students to help them read and study the Bible – and their families were able to participate!
  • Sponsorship continues to allow us to provide for teachers and staff who otherwise would have virtually no financial support.
  • Housing was provided for sponsored children who have no parent/guardian.

Our plans for 2022 include:
  • All 913 students in our program, pre-school through university, will return to school in January, for some students this is the first time in 2 years.
  • Creating a discipleship and mentorship program for our elementary students and strengthening the program for our high school and college students.
  • Developing a medical outreach program to go out to impoverished areas to provide and assess medical needs.
Continue to provide hope to the children in our program by donating today. If you have appreciated stock that you would like to donate, please reply to this email to let us know.
We thank you in advance for partnering with us as we continue to reach even more orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda in the name of Jesus.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
