Timberlind Auctions

Timberlind Auctions is locally owned by Robert and Carol Lind of Buck Creek. Robert was born and raised in the Buck Creek area, not far from where the Timberlind Sale Yard is presently located.

Robert graduated from the Western Canadian School of Auctioneering in Calgary on October 3, 1998 and was voted as the class president at that time. He joined the Auctioneers Association of Alberta and in January of 1999, he won the Tyro Contest for New Auctioneers in Alberta at the Alberta Auctioneer’s Convention. Robert was later voted on as a Director and then served as the President in 2010 and 2011 of

the Alberta Auctioneer’s Association.

Timberlind Auctions was Incorporated in 1999 and had their first machinery consignment sale on the farm May Long Weekend and then on September Long Weekend and have developed the sale yard into a permanent facility. Timberlind Auctions specializes in farm sales and purebred cattle sales. From October to March in the farm sale off season, Robert works with Transcon Livestock. They manage Purebred Cattle Sales, selling bulls in th e spring and females in the fall. He has auctioned Simmental Cattle across Canada, from a sale in Abbotsford, British Columbia to a sale at Chester Basin, Nova Scotia and many sales in

between, but mostly in Alberta over the past 25 years.

They annually have about 20 farm sales around the Drayton Valley area.

Robert and Carol truly appreciate the time and effort their staff have put in over the past years. They have a great group of sales staff that have been part of their sales team for many years. Some of our original staff are still working with us after 25 years.

They still offer a choice to the farmer to have a live in person sale or an online sale. But now that the auctions have switched mainly to online, they have sold equipment to Texas, Rhode Island, Kansas, South Dakota, Michigan and most Provinces across Canada.

Robert and Carol enjoy the auction business, meeting so many great people in many different industries.

Timberlind Auctions is a strong supporter of the Wildwood Bronc Bustin’ and they also Sponsor Professional Saddle Bronc Riders – Layton Green, Ben Andersen, Kole Ashbacher and Dawson Dahm who have competed all across North America and they also have qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton and to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
