IMPORTANT UPDATE
COVID INFORMATION FOR SUMMER ON CAMPUS
Face masks are required indoors on our campus except when working alone or separated from others by at least six feet. Campus officials may further specify areas where face masks are required to enhance safety.
The indoor face mask requirement will remain in place and be re-evaluated when the level of COVID-19 transmission in the State decreases. All members of the UH community should continue to monitor your hawaii.edu email and UHNews.org for updates.
For those returning to campus after quarantine or isolation, face masks must be worn around others in all settings – including outdoors – for the remainder of the 10-day period.
If you know you have been exposed to COVID-19 or you begin to experience symptoms, please get tested before returning to campus or any UHMC facility, no matter your vaccination status.
If returning from personal or university-approved, out-of-state travel, it is strongly recommended that you take a COVID test within two days of return to the State and BEFORE returning to a UHMC campus or facility. It is also strongly recommended that you take a follow up test on day five after your return.

Free at-home COVID-19 tests
You can get a COVID test at the Campus Health Center. You must schedule an appointment by calling at 984-3493. If you have medical insurance, please bring your medical card and ID when you come for testing. But you do not need medical insurance to get a test. The testing is free.
Everyone is strongly encouraged to be up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations – that includes receiving the 1st booster shot, and 2nd booster shot, if eligible. CDC tool to determine when or if you can get one or more COVID-19 boosters Full or Up-to-date vaccination is required for employees and students in specific UH programs or courses (medical, nursing, social work, dental hygiene, etc.) where they are embedded within partner institutions that require vaccination.
If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home and isolate for at least 5 days (until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and your symptoms are improving).
We strongly recommend that you stay home if you feel ill, whether with COVID-19 or not, to recover and prevent community spread.
