UNITED WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Calling all 2022 Stuff the Bus Collection Site Hosts!!
This year, The United Way of Lincoln County, is once again helping to host and organize the Stuff the Bus Campaign to collect needed school supply items and shelf-stable food items for students and families in Lincoln County.

With school starting at the end of August, we are looking to run collections the first 3 weeks of August (Monday, August 1 thru Thursday, August 18), with pickup and sorting on Friday, August 19. Our goal is to restock all our resource hubs with supplies needed for the 22/23 school year.

With that being said, we are looking for host sites to collect school supplies and shelf-stable pantry items for this collection event. Please indicate if your site will need a collection bin when signing up.

Thank You for participating and agreeing to be a 2022 Stuff the Bus Collection Site Host!

Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence is getting a new shelter!
A new and improved Amy's House Shelter!
Contribute to the building of the NEW Amy's House location by purchasing a "gift brick" to be displayed in the Serenity Garden, typically accessible only to survivors and the staff that serves them!

The Serenity Garden will be private, secluded, quiet and full of sun and flowering plants. This garden will have walkways paved with the engraved “gift bricks” designed by individual supporters and contributors. The construction of the new Amy's House Shelter is the culmination of nine years of preparation work and fund-raising, and will provide a highly efficient shelter and service facility to serve domestic violence survivors for the next century. The shelter is expected to open in the spring of 2023!

Jennifer Green
Jennifer began serving on the United Way Board of Directors in 2021 and has been an active and involved board member since then! We are so thankful to have Jennifer on our board and are happy to have law enforcement represented on our board of directors. Jennifer has always been a leader in our community, and the United Way is blessed to benefit from her service and representation.
Jennifer Green prides herself on being a Christian, honest, fair, consistent, and loyal. Jennifer loves her family and her pets! Mrs. Green serves as a Patrol Sergeant for the Lincolnton Police Department, and she loves what she does! Jennifer owned her own business prior to working in law enforcement, a store named 'Mommy & Me Children's Boutique'. She owned and operated the store until her children were old enough to go to school. She was able to enjoy her children and take them with her to work with her at her boutique each day. When her children became school aged and begin attending school regularly, Sergeant Green sold the boutique to pursue her career in law enforcement. The City of Lincolnton is thankful she decided to work in law enforcement and we are thankful she is now able to serve on our board at the United Way of Lincoln County.
