Restructuring Human Culture to

Sustain our Planet

(In Person and Zoom Service)

Two problems that need to be addressed in order for the human species to contribute to the sustainability of the planet are population control and the redirection of our emotions. We will focus on what we need to change in ourselves: our stewardship of our emotions and how they lead us to interact with the world around us.

Worship Leader: Marsha Hudson & Norman Brown

Hospitality is Resuming!

For those who have attended the last couple of in-person services you will know that our wonderful after service hospitality has resumed.  We ask that if you are attending and stay for lunch to please bring something to share. Drop it off in the Kitchen on your way in to the service.

However, if we don’t get volunteers for sous chef & help clean up, it won’t happen!

Call Barbara Badger 317-201-5810 for sous chef or Jeanie Trigg 920-915-0966 for clean up to sign up for 1 Sunday a month.

 Choir Reforming!

I’m so glad to let you all know that the UUFSCDC “Just in Tine” Choir has reconvened! Our Choir is a fairly causal group that sings to support Sunday am worship at UUFSCC.

We’ll be meeting twice a month on Sunday mornings at 9 am in the Gallery to learn a song for that day. It’ll be quick, easy and fun! Whatever your musical skill and interest is, you are invited to join us for some fun and beautiful music in support of our beloved Fellowship.

Our October 2022 our Choir dates are Oct 23rd and October 30th. We also need featured soloists and small ensembles to lead hymns on the other Sundays, Oct. 9th & 16th. Contact me for song lists.

Sunday October 9th. UU the Vote, in-person, following the service

We are on our final countdown to personalize letters to under-represented and infrequent voters! We have jointly completed 480 letters!! How many more can we get done? Be a part of doing what you can for this important election. Join the Justice Team and personalize 5 letters. We will also write on 10/23 and then the letters will be mailed!!

If you took letters home, bring them back NO LATER than 10/16! If you were not able to complete them, please return them anyway, so we can get them completed for you!

This election is VERY important and we MUST do whatever we can to have the best possible outcome. Turn your frustration, anger, numbness, and fear into action!! We can’t wait any longer! Voting rights, abortion rights, human rights of all kinds, climate action, and more, need you, NOW!

It is not an exaggeration to say that our democracy is at stake and you may feel better by doing something to help!! Almost 4 million letters have been personalized. Can you add 5 more? Join our Justice Team, UU social justice teams around the country, and progressives of all kinds to ensure the best possible outcome of the mid-term election.

If you have any questions, email UUtheVote.teri@gmail.com

  Dance as a Spiritual Practice:

UUFSCC Community Minister, Rev. Terra Collier-Young and her husband, Scott Young, extend an invitation for members and friends to join in a somatic embodiment practice called Conscious Dance, held on the second Saturday of each month, mornings, 9:50-11:30am via Zoom. Next session 10/8.

This is an opportunity to participate in a musically motivated moving meditation, letting your body move as it is naturally inclined to and without judgement.
