Interior Health Region Restrictions
On Friday, August 20, Dr. Henry announced that restrictions previously introduced for the Central Okanagan has now been expanded to include the entire Interior Health Region.
Highlight of Restrictions for Interior Health Region
Public Health Restrictions now in effect include:

  • Everyone aged 12 and over are now required to wear a mask in all public indoor spaces
  • High intensity indoor group exercise is not permitted. Low-intensity indoor group exercise is permitted to a maximum 10 people per class.
  • Outdoor group exercise is permitted up to 50 people per class.
  • Non-essential travel to the region is strongly discouraged regardless of level of vaccination
 
As of Monday (August 23 at 8 am) the following restrictions are introduced:

  • Gatherings in vacation rentals are limited to five guests or one additional household.
  • Indoor personal gatherings are limited to ten guests or one other household.
  • Outdoor personal gatherings (e.g. birthday parties, backyard BBQs, block parties) are limited to no more than 50 people.
  • Organized indoor gatherings (e.g. weddings, funerals, seated events) are limited to 50 people, and outdoor gatherings are limited to 100 people, both requiring a COVID-19 safety plan.
 
These previous orders for Central Okanagan remain in place:

  • Liquor service to end at 10 pm
  • Restaurant dining to return to tables of 6 maximum, diners can be from different households
